i understood this as a group of people that as it says, theyre called freaks, because of how the look and what they like, which is basically judging someone. this probably on a school setting, because school is probably the place where most of this happens, everyone being separated into groups and people bothering someone for things like your music preferences.

but even though theres all of those difficulties, at the end it invites someone to join the secluded group because they dont let the people define their lives, and by being happy ir refers that they'd rather be themselves than following trends for approval
