I heard a ghastly scream,
Footsteps tiptoe,

'Wanna play a game?'
The darkness starts to sway,
Crimson eyes glare, unblinking,
As my heart begins to fray.

Mmmmm repetition~ the last stanza is kinda dark - perhaps suggesting that the more we become astray, the more we experience fear. Though that need not always be the case~~

My next one is a poem about farming, it's a nice change of theme cause I wrote dark ones in the past couple of weeks.
