My baroque heart wishes for sentinel's rod,
To reel the fragments left in the ocean deep,
Whether I can seek peace, care 'thout fraud,
Might I wish for m'life to shine 'pon my sleep.
Rev'ries'f mine was'n vertigo, dizziness filled,
Standing'n meadow, mind of th'weak-willed,
Hands aloft, like castaways on loneful land,
Alone'nd deprived, enchant me with th'band.
Reveries'f th'past must've made me imagine,
The mystical avenues to which I have longed,
A quiet sabbath's day, I wished for a pattern,
To become whole again'nd never be wronged.

I feel like this wouldve been so cool as a sonnet (typical for baroque) but love it!
Thanks! ♥️
I absolutely LOVE the title! I would lean more into that metaphor. To me, “ocean” seems out of place. What if it was replaced with century or a long lost dance or painting or sculpture? Something that more closely reflects the baroque time period.
