The Shed

(Literally wrote this in 5 minutes so bare with me)

Dust hangs in the air unmoving,
The shed empty in solidarity.
Wooden walls withering away as the passage of time wears down the once new building.
Where an empty shed sits, I see a symbol of stability
A reminder, that everything changes,
but everything stays the same.

OKAY SO, for this one, I kinda wanted to play with the idea of a shed. The quote that everything changes, but also stays the same, used to confuse me so bad when I was little, until one day I just GOT it. The shed represents this idea, the shed is the same as the day it was built, it’s in the same spot, same screws it was built with, same wooden planks, but as time has gotten ahold of it. A lot of the shed has withered away, it’s now old and creeky. But it still sits in the same spot as the day it was built.
