These words evoke the physical characteristics of a shadow. Shadows seem to constantly move and change, never staying still. Shadows are bound to their source of light and cannot exist independently.
Using tornadoes as a poetic tool is daring. However, it fosters the ideal of perdition, of the search for some comfort that will free us from the storm and the bustle of everyday life.
It seems that this particular poem of his was able to point this out to us: it is a mutual persistence, incapable of getting us out of this endless circle of life since our first breath.
But as everything comes from nature, there is a silence, a peace in the act of being trapped in what the whirlwinds give us. There is always hope at the bottom of this tornado.
