You're a black hole disguised as a sun:

I'm drawn to you thinking of sunny days,
Misled by that crimson haze, and beautiful face.
You shine radiant in amber; a lovely  intensive glow,
Blinding the parts of you I've yet to know,
Only letting your oh so sweet gaze
and hypnotic vises show.

You hold me tight-
never letting go,
And when I think I'm free to step away
I'm dragged in; asked to stay
"Please just one more day" you say
And I just can't tell you no-

Maybe something about that look you give, or the naivete of the words you leave me with
I'm stuck, trapped in this vicious cycle of your design-
One to keep me here only looking in your light

Light like honey,
Honey like the words you feed me every night-
they sooth and seep
And grasp my mind,

I'm left with only the feeling of you, of what I think you should be-

a star
my star

Perhaps you're all i'll ever need.

The metaphor of a black hole disguised as a sun is particularly striking. It suggests that the person is outwardly attractive but may have a dark and consuming nature.

#

The poem also touches on themes of control, manipulation, and the illusion of freedom.
