Hour one, I awake to beeping, my alarm screams into the air
I sit up and rub my eyes, awakening with messy hair
Slinking out of bed I begin about my routine
The table and I sit together, enjoying eat a meal in the morn so serene
Hour two, I finish my meal and send you a quick message
Its purpose to greet you in the morn and star upon your visage
I finish waking up, my mind still stuck on you
I start about my day now doing what I must do
Hour three, my first class
some quick notes, it goes by fast
Hour four, I take my time to eat some lunch
I sit with friends and foes as kin, with whom I munch
Hour five, you're still in my mind as you wake and at last respond
A small little good morning back is all it takes for my sadness to abscond
Hour six, we share some videos between my classes
And in that hour, it shocks me just how quickly that time passes
Hour seven another class in my day
But you're still getting ready as you're now fully awake
Hour eight, my day is going well
Thinking of you still I nearly begin to kvell
Hour nine, I start to wrap up my study time
I think of what I shall do later to keep my mind in line
Hour ten, I eat a meal so lonesome
Wishing I could share it with you, instead of in my onesome
Hour ten, I put my heart onto a page
Hour eleven, I share in laughs with people I hardly know
As my facade falls, the real me begins to show
Hour twelve, I go to grab a snack
Something quick and easy I can keep in my pack
Hour thirteen, back in my dorm
I default back to my isolationist norm
Hour fourteen, I've spent too many hours by myself
I've been playing games and hoping your day has gone well
Hour fifteen, it's getting late now 10 o'clock
My mind now stuck in a bog
Hour sixteen, as I begin to wind down I shoot you another text
I tell you I love you and to sleep well from this day into the next
Hour seventeen, I guess I lied to you
As I lay here wide-eyed and blue
Hour eighteen I begin to weep
And as I think about you, I begin to fall asleep
Hour nineteen then hour twenty, two hours quickly pass
I see you dancing in my dreams, I wish this could always last
Hours twenty one and twenty two
Two more hours I dream of time with you
Hour twenty three the twenty four
My day has begun once more

Your poem beautifully captures the ebb and flow of a day, filled with both mundane routines and heartfelt emotions. The cyclical nature of time is evident as you recount each hour, from the early morning alarm to the late-night dreams. The presence of the person you're thinking about provides a source of comfort and joy, even from afar. The poem highlights the fleeting nature of time, particularly in the context of dreams and memories.
The vivid imagery and emotional honesty make your poem relatable and poignant. It's a testament to the human experience, filled with both joy and sorrow, connection and isolation.
