This poem is a story with a message much needed today in this world where outer beauty is epitomized like its the most divine thing in existence. A painting is hung on a wall, whose frame is adorned with gold and jewelry. But to get to that painting, one must cross a fleet of stairs. The stairs is splayed with trinkets, gems and jewels, and it pierces through the addressee's feet, smearing blood on the jewels. But he can't seem to be inhibited by that pain. He is drawn to the painting, by the sight of those jewelry adorning the frame--completely hypnotized with lust. The painting is the narrator here, who beckons the addressee to come closer. 'Daffodils' and 'glass' is symbolic of hope, truth and clarity. They know about his naivety in recognizing the fraud that those gold around the painting was. The closer he gets, the more he figures out that the actual painting is atrocious and ugly. By the sight of hatred from the addressee, the painting gets hurt and by a supernatural power, scoops his eyes out--his blood dripping on the daffodils of truth. That was the punishment the painting gave the addressee for giving her (the painting) false hopes and retreating by the true side.

Perfectly creates a visually evocative atmosphere that engages the senses. This piece follows a thematic progression, moving through different scenes/moments.
However i do think
Embellished silence of lust or Thy valour depart Amongst carnations of gem
are quiet open to interpretation 🤔 maybe it was intentional !?
Overall it is aiming to evoke strong emotions, especially towards the end with theme of redemption 👌🏻 🍭

Thank you! And yes they are both open to interpretation. Like for one, it could be : When the attraction is of pure lust, you don't really know each other or hear each other's heart. Its your own heartbeat (caused by lust) that drowns out your senses. And thy valour depart...grotesque art implies that when the person gets close enough to now look at the true painting amidst all jewels, all his bravado of bleeding just to get close enough to the painting departs, since now the painting looks complete opposite if what he thought it must look like.
