I am content and longing with it.
Hungering for the things I cannot stomach.
To be unalone in this body,
to be full and happy,
to rip it into untidy lobes  
and burn just a little. 
Like an offering
to old gods.

The kind of gods that make bargains of things
other than obedience.
The kind that die and kill and hate.
I would make a sacrifice of things sacrosanct
to touch the threads of glory.
To take root in somebody,
to be a poet, to pray,
to do all this truthfully.

I am content and desperate at it.
To be more than I am,
more than I ought to,
more than I desire.
Because there is something unspeakably exquisite 
In everyone I can never be.
In the many multitudes of human love 
There are colors I cannot see.```

Well, I am a person who rarely likes to read poems because I don't really get them, and this, I didn't understand the story or meaning behind this, it was confusing. But it's not just you. I think most poetry comes out confusing in my eyes.

But the wording and spacing was nice!

Well It's not that don't like them. It is just that peoms can be very hard to understand, sometimes I just see a bunch of words but in sum fancy line. And there is no story to follow..

And I write poetry myself, rarely, and if I do right poetry it would he something fun, that follows a small sotry. Not really this.

And I am on here because I was actually looking for a story discord, but the poems was the first to show up, I joined anyways. And I'm staying to test my poems out too!

I'm sure they aren't as dramatic and extra as some people's, but it is a lot more simple to understand and get.
