Witty 🙌🏼
I don’t know why but this reads to me like a recovering alcoholic staying true to their word of sobriety. It’s real, like a fleeting dream. That juxtaposition is beautiful, as dreams are by definition, not real. But for the speaker, the dream of being sober has long come true with self-restraint, hope, and persistence. The emotions the speaker would drown in alcohol instead drowns in poetry.
Beautiful
"A poet clad in shadows &
under the weight of his unspoken verses," me when i cannot seem to write these silly poems in my head
"Actually,
could i trouble you for a notepad & a pen instead ?
Tonight, i’ll have words poured neat." this line made me genuinely smile
yiu have to be extremely unhinged or a literary genius to js casually think up smth like that /lh /j
i love the interaction between the two characters and the dialogues ugh
you take the idea of lacking creativity or structure to form a good poem, a common theme many poets face, and compare it to a drink that can be served, essentially ordering a drink of creativity
GOD THAT IS SO DELICIOUS
pun unintended
this has GYAT to be my fav poem from you
*pats on the back
also the ending pic makes me think u actually took that pic and wrote that poem in a bar
I appreciate your candor in acknowledging this universal truth. Many just struggle with finding the right rhyme, metaphor or fancy words but fail to write a decent poem despite all that effort. That’s the part of what i wanted to explore in this piece.
Thanks again for your feedback, you don’t know how much it means to me 😊.
another great poem
i love how this poem captures the raw emotion and creative inspiration as the poet opts for a notepad and pen over whiskey, choosing to pour out unstructured emotions instead of conforming to poetic rules. its a compelling portrayal of artistic freedom and heartfelt expression!
I’m glad you enjoyed reading it. 😊 thank you so much.

I like how the poet asks for a notepad & a pen instead of a drink, which suggests a shift from seeking solace in alcohol to finding release through writing. Additionally, I love the confident tone in the poem where it contrasts traditional poetic forms with raw, unfiltered expression. It's relatable knowing that despite the poet acknowledging the existence of rules, they still chose to transcend them to convey genuine emotions. Truly beautiful ⭐
