wow ths poem paints a vivid picture of the struggle to maintain ambition and the desire for peace and connection

#

The way u use the imagery of mystic oracles, white sand, and serpentine wings kinda adds a sense of mysticism and symbolism to the poem, while the use of metaphors like "castles of desires withered to dust" and "Medusa's serpents choking me to my senses" also add depth to the exploration of the tension between ambition and vulnerability from what i can understand

#

and the mention of Icarus like wings also gives a sense of risk and potential fall, kinda adding to the overall atmosphere of the poem!

Analysis

The first three paras are self-explanatory i believe. Though here is the interesting part.

Para 1, it is the landscape of a beach. And the salty waters taking the thing is an religious practice done in many places. So in other words, agony is personified as a devil here. Nice.

Para 2 is simple tbh. Comfort in chaos regardless the consequences.

Para 3 is like simple but nice still. And contrary here, Medusa's hair has a deeper meaning. Because medusa's hair is not actually all snakes. Has those there to protect her actually hair which is said to be
.. idk, those stories are lost. But here it is protection I guess. So protection bringing demise, interesting.

Para 4, ok... Lot to say. Icarus as most of us know is in fact never had the "iron-clad spine" or simply put "courage against true odds". It says my spine so, the narrater is here. So to say, taking a faulty sword to battle with courage. And it thaws or melts. Sun can be many things here, but with this nature of poem, not sure what. Love? Maybe, idk. But it is surely the good sacrifice type of things.
Tears come out as... The moon and stars banish I think?

yup medusa's hair hear defys the common notion that u turn to stone if u meet its eye but here, those same snakes strangle the narrator to their senses(irony) and then again the narrator is already cold stone before, before any effect from the said "medusa's locks".

yeah and the last para deals with the much known story of how icarus flew too close to the sun. so here, the narrator has icarus's wings but their spine(dignity and courage) is iron clad. and like the old tale the sun(peace and seclusion) melts away the waxy wings, but the narratot stares at the Sun daringly even if her eyes can't take it anymore.
