Absorbed into the cracks of my mind
your apathy it grinds like the
grain of time we spent together
now the flames begin to spread outward
inward, my tears dribble and flow
I could only stare at the stranger
facing me with a shining sword
you told me I was your everything
thus as their hero, what you love is
reduced to zero, I'm torn apart
what happened to starting a new life?
did I grow to love the twisting knife?
"It's for the better," you said harshly.
Why, oh, why have you forsaken me?
The flames grew taller, they kept shouting
The world or me, that's what came to be
A word escaped my lips, "Mercy, please."
When the blade hit, the world caved. the end
I felt the solidness of his chest
as he carried my body from the
destruction, rubble of what was left
The villain looked into my eyes and
I could see a fiery protection
in my teary eyes that reflection
of affection present in his hold
"I've got you a blanket, are you cold?"
Shaking my head, I laugh at the flames
"Your love for the hero, what you've learned
"is, though I am a villain," He said.
"For you, I would let the whole world burn."
