Love resurrects my tears of flame.
My shadow coexists; the taste is bitter.
The shell shrinks in this wavering pain.

For the cherubim, mercy is obscene,
Though the candle ignites the heather.
Love resurrects my tears of flame.

The light beckons in the shallow rain.
My garden is black and fails to bother;
The shell shrinks in this wavering pain.

The pebbles wither and wither again.
The roses were lovely: the smell of thunder.
Love resurrects my tears of flame.

For the barren tombs of my disdain
Won't awaken my obnoxious clover.
The shell shrinks in this wavering pain.

Will the angels ever hear my complaint?
I touch the silk as it cures my blisters.
Love resurrects my tears of flame.
The shell shrinks in this wavering pain.

"The light beckons in the shallow rain.

The whole poem is absolutely fantabulous but this is my favorite stanza, lovely as always! <3

The symbolism is absolutely stunning, and the repetition helps to drive home the themes the poem is displaying. Tears of a flame is an incredibly clever oxymoron that I enjoy

I've only seen a few of your poems, but so far this is my favourite. The flow of positive and negative emotions here feels like a dance, and the imagery in stanza 2-3 really helps to set the mood for that.
I also like the semi-rhyming between stanzas, it's a great touch.

I'm not sure about your use of tender as a noun here, I get what you mean but as a noun it mostly makes me think of food. I think if you rearrange a bit to make it an adjective the line will be much better

This is really good👍..

# quartz cave it is used as an adjective here

so to get rid of the double meaning I think you should give it a specific noun to describe, because as it is grammatically it's a noun, which makes the word ambiguous, and I think hurts what you meant here

I really like it!
I think it holds the spot in the positive-negative duality very well, and I also think the sibilant sound makes it fit a little better with the rhythm of the line

The repeated line "Love resurrects my tears of flame" is really powerful and evocative, as is the imagery of the shell shrinking in pain and the garden being black and failing to bother

#

The use of words like "cherubim," "heather," and "clover" gives the poem a sense of whimsy and magic, even amidst the pain of heartbreak

#

this is a really beautiful and poignant poemNoizeLoves

I'm not one for abstract comparisons/metaphors but I like your imagery. I like "The pebbles wither and wither again".

The poem explores themes of love, pain, and emotional turmoil. It reflects on the paradoxical nature of love, which can bring both profound joy and deep sorrow. The speaker grapples with feelings of loss and longing, highlighting the struggle between hope and despair. The poem delves into the complexities of love, grief, and vulnerability. It juxtaposes beautiful imagery with painful emotions, suggesting that love can resurrect both joy ("tears of flame") and sorrow ("wavering pain"). The imagery of nature, such as gardens and flowers, is used to symbolize the speaker's internal state.
