Hide me in your arms
I no longer want to be me
Another body emerges from inside

He stole my body
and wears my face
like he loved it all along
I grind my teeth
and wrap my hands
around the tumor's neck

If only I was content with my filth
then maybe it wouldn't hurt this much

I show him what happened
all those years ago
to a child me
He takes it willingly
and lays there
like a sunbathing fish

"What's your name?"
"Thanacon"

I knew right there
I would never be free of him
The me that wears my same body

The image of someone stealing the speaker's body and wearing their face is really disturbing, and the reference to a childhood trauma is heartbreaking

The comparison of the tumor to a sunbathing fish adds a sense of surrealism and detachment to the poem, while the idea of being unable to free oneself from this "Thanacon" figure adds a sense of inevitability and despair
