#A place for linking poems in magazines.

Being a published poet generally involves publishing in literary magazines like those in this database https://www.pw.org/literary_magazines

I think it would be good to have a channel (or preferably a space like post own) where people can link poems they like, that were published in such magazines.

This would:

  1. Get aspiring poets to learn about the world of published poetry, which magazines might align w their interests / might be places for them to seek publication.

  2. Give users a place to look at final-draft poetry, that isn’t aimed at an individual reader or ‘just for myself’.

Let me know what you think of this idea.

Such a channel could be called ‘link-published’

That is risky since we don't know if all the links are good to go. Many could sneak in a scam link or virus link.

Hmm... Let's see.

i mean most of our poets just write for the sake of writing and are not necessarily published

#

also about sharing someone elses poems

#

that's a bit tricky

#

but we could make that work

# surreal raptor I'm not sure we have enough poets for that just yet

The idea is people would generally link to the published work of others. This would be different than just screen capping other's work and sharing it- it would benefit the poets being shared.

I think that publishing is something lots of users would like to know more about, even if it isn't a priority for most.

why if we make it an exclusive thing

#

like just after a certain level ->

#

i think we'd be able to stop scammy links and cater to people who are actually serious about poetry

#

to the point they think about being published

link-others-published might be a better name than link-published, just so people know they can post others
