You start strong with the juxtaposed imagery. From there you drop it entirely. I'd like to see it continue, maybe like a see-saw? Especially because it's a relationship. I can identify with sentence 1 stanza 2. Right there with ya. If you used your "you" as a segue barrier between those stark images it could be fun.
