@floral marsh
Wow very beautiful nice translation and narration
The narration was really good, and I like the poetry
9.7/10 for me
Appreciate it a lot!
While you’re here I wrote another poem, but this one isn’t a translation. It’s my own.
Oh i see, great job !
@violet vortex
@haughty terrace
@foggy lodge you also give good feedback. Would appreciate your input 😊
Great narration!
Is this written by you or another poet?
One suggestion would be to not use your phone whilst you narrate
It would connect with the audience much better
You’re absolutely right, it would. I’ll try to memorize the poetry better for the future..
Wonderful! @dense plume has just pregressed to level 2!
The poem is written by my grandmother, and the English translation I made.
That’s what that account is for, I’ve dedicated it to translating my grandmothers poetry.
But here’s a poem that is an original by me:
Wow that’s such a lovely idea
You grandma would be so proud of you
What language is the original?
Persian, specifically the Tajiki dialect
Ohh where you from?
Tell me what you think of this one
Tajikistan 🇹🇯
Never heard of that country before
Wow I love your control of speech
The light of perfection
Honestly really emotional too
😊
Thank you very much
I’ll work on memorizing all future poems so I’m not looking at my phone or reading from a book
Take a gander online, it’s a beautiful country.
Or you could just put your phone beyond the recording camera
So you can look at it but the audience would think you’ve memorised it
Is there a good word for “the value of the present moment” you could recommend?
There’s a word in my language called ghanimat, which means exactly that
*There’s a word in my
language called ghanimat, which
means exactly that*
I need it in English
For instance, today is ghanimat, us talking is ghanimat. Yesterday and tomorrow will be ghanimat
Good idea, I’ll see if I cans make something like that work. Thank you.
@dense plume can you post the poem in text or picture? Posting links to personal profiles count as self-promotion in the server, and is not allowed..
Where is that in the rules?
I’m asking for feedback and support.
Everyone is technically doing self promotion. They’re posting their own poetry with their name and pinging.
That is internally.
External links are prohibited.
You said self promotion is prohibited, now you’ve changed and said external links are prohibited?
I mentioned that here too.
Let me check the rules for another time
I’m not breaking any rules as far as I can see #rules
just do as I say.
Brother, I haven’t done anything wrong. Don’t go on a power trip either.
I’m just sharing poetry, completely within the rules of the server.
You’re creating more unofficial rules.
I don’t want to argue about it. If it was truly important it would be listed.
The rules are not hard and fast. So as a moderator I am asking you to post via a different method since external links to personal profiles fall under self-promotion, which is not allowed in the server.
And you deleted my poem…
I’m really disappointed in this server.
@haughty terrace there’s a reason for the video, people get to here the intonation of the poem. Plus, they also hear the poem in its original language.
