Lucrativity bellows through the perilous,
Another shadow had you wrapped around the finger.
Life being so frivolous in its attempt of a bring-down.
Wring out my juice as my flesh becomes the feast.
Friends are passive vultures soaring the mind.
Waiting to drop once the oven runs out of time.
Who is clean off bloodshed and praying peace?
Using homophones to call me their prey in piece.
I’m racing against curtains and closing walls.
Open stalls selling souls by the bootstraps.
Military mindsets whenever traversing through.
It’s a travesty – truths buried under bloody marys.
So much depravity for a new awakening.
Shaking in fantasy and weeping in reality.
Could one try to handle it via showers,
Acidic liquid licks me down – the sweetest taste.
Spitting nothing but constrictive poisons,
Infectious sections of companionships.
Being so empty while being voidless.
It’s a paradox I am forced to live with.
They used to wrap hands around my neck,
Now their fangs would love to join in, too…
Since when did these vipers become venomous?
Things change – and so do the people around you.
