I envisioned a peaceful scenario, like a man on a raft stranded out at sea, facing the dangers of nature
He gets swallowed by a whirlpool
What inspired you to write this?
Extract from the prelude
I studied it in school years ago
It’s beautiful
If you read it you’ll see the similarity in tones
Mine is just
Less impressive
It seems very impressive to me
You are very welcome!
@old flame you might like this one too (:
@unborn sundial I hope you enjoy the imagery here too
The imagery is amazing and I love the progression throughout the poem I really love the lines “and it’s monstrous mouth so black drank the sea”
as someone who loves seals i just imagined an actual seal for the first seven lines. truly, a godlike first seven lines. objective perfection. no notes.
||no but really i love the tonal shift and the very gradual darkening, looming of nature! great work!!!||
Hahaa I felt the same way
