Oh my this is wonderful:0
I relate with this very much, This is beautiful:0
Aww thank youu sm!! <33
oh i love this
it’s super short and simple but it’s incredibly graceful
you seem to say so much yet with so few words
by using each aspect to contrast the next or the one before it, it highlights even more details making it even more elaborate than just what’s expressed directly through words alone
it reminds me a lot of character foil, but i’ve never seen it used in poetry before so super well done i love how creative this is
Thank you Ikari! Your words mean a lot always :))
Oh I wasn't aware of the concept of character foil I just learnt about it and it totally makes sense! Thanks for educating!
mhm! it’s basically creating two characters who are very similar but also contrasted in personality
by showing them side by side they emphasize one another in their traits
like a dog and a wolf, both canines, but when you compare and contrast you see they’re very different
sherlock and watson are another pretty good example for those familiar with their dynamic
That's quite insightful! Thank you so much for explaining it to me, I learnt something new :))
I love the flow of this, it's such a peaceful read. I can feel the connectedness of each line--how the themes intertwine. This is a very beautiful piece
"them, a force unknown, called by many names." girl ?? for me, this somewhat pictures the unexpected trials & obstacle people go through esp when building relationships.
love the simplicity this has, continues to evoke such a feel. AND THE ENDING ?? CHEF KISS.
i adore the lines "where the sermon ends, love starts; and where love ends, death, a darling, visits." such a perfect way to show the end of everything once its purpose (like love) has been fulfilled. keep writing, puff. love these sm ♥️
i love how it's such an easy read too - it's like a puzzle easy to solve. love those kind of poems
Thank you so much!! Means a lot <33
Ah girl you get it so well! Aww thanks a bunch, the concept of death has been seen as something dark and haunting and I wished to give it a different portrayal :)))
i love it !!! its inspiring me to write something like it.
Alright you making my (already spent half by sleeping) day-
NO MOOD, I SPENT HALF OF MY DAY SLEEPING TOO 😭
it's a poet thing
We work too hard, we need it
People won't be able to take this much tbh
honestly
👀
wooow this is so cool. i really like the pronoun usage here. its only appropriate to start concluding it with “All, a daunting combination.” and you nailed it. great job!
Thankss Khaled!!! :)))
this poem hit me like a wave of emotions crashing against the shore. the reflection on love and loss, how it all eventually leads to death’s visit, is both sobering and comforting in its honesty. overall, this poem feels like a personal reflection on life’s journey, with all its joys and sorrows intertwined. its a beautiful reminder to cherish every moment we have.
That feels personal Yeah, I'm glad you enjoyed this one as well. Thanks a bunch dear! <33
@polar abyss
If I were to offer any criticism, it would be that the poem's density and complexity may make it challenging for some readers to fully absorb. However, I believe that this is a deliberate choice, reflecting the your own grappling with the mysteries of existence.
Overall, this poem is a masterpiece of contemporary poetry, offering a haunting and thought-provoking exploration of the human experience.
Dear Haiku Lord, your words reached gently and I'm glad I was able to provide something that would make you think.
Thank you for the detailed feedback, I appreciate it a lot :3
