When it plays,
I don't hear it;
I rather feel it,
In my bones.
Warmth of the sun,
First fall of snow;
Pattering of rain,
The image of afterglow.
When my heart starts to pound,
Either for happiness or tears;
Either for scars or fears,
It makes me feel I'm fine no matter what I bear.
Never been in love,
But, I still know what it is;
I still know how it feels,
All of this happens because of music.

As a person who also plays music this was so heart touching! I truly believe playing or listening to music is an out of world experience. It’s a tool to make the pain subside or even increases the pain. Music truly captivates our feelings and makes us feel everything all at once! Beautifully said💜

Aww, now I know you’re a swiftie I truly get what this means to you. Music. Lyrics. Everything. Even a little ‘afterglow’ in there too. I believe music can make us feel so many things. When everything else changes around us, in our busy lives, in ourselves, music and the memories attached to it is the one thing that stays consistent and the same. Always within reach to press play and transport back to a time and place that felt meaningful, purposeful, or even saddening to revisit. Beautiful words ❤️

wow! i really like this piece tbh it captures the writer's love for music, expressing it vividly. the emotion is raw and the effects of music on the writer is broken down so beautifully that it makes me feel what was felt throughout the poem. one suggestion would have been to make it longer perhaps? just to dive deeper with words and feelings, making it a bit more complex and interesting. amazing job! i really loved reading it so keep at it!
