Flickering in my eyes the reflection of a painting.
my soul has been devoured by it at a glance,
How could a little creature be so blinding?
I cant find a word to describe its elegance.

With no time to live, she was really courageous
how is she so intrepid or is she just mad?
If I too didn't have the time would i be this gorgeous?
Or would I just waste the chance that I had?

Actually, I'm a newcomer, so I don't know if the things I write can even be called poems or not. Also, I don't have any friends who know English, so I'm here asking for advice, but I don't know what I'm looking for either. 😅

Yup I would call this a poem, it's really good actually, it's got a lot of imagery, not many literary devices though, and it has some nice rhymes, although I might add that rhymes aren't strictly necessary for poems

Well poetry is a piece of literature that typically flows and/or has a rhythm, it should feel melodic to read, and yes this would be considered a poem
