the rest watch on with just a breath,
fingertips lay loosely as they undress
as if tortoises were without a shell,
shock captured the willowing tree
exploding leaves for all that I see.
Fear relinquishes and smells the flames
stretches to stars just squeezing till pop,
may the hearts collide abide one another
as static rings ears and dreams are near
the world flips backwards rendering you
naked.
Underwater the creatures cry
teardrops eaten in disguise,
atop the sky the atmosphere hides
and the rocks just tumble in its demise,
why oh why does the sky get to cry
when the destroyer of worlds is near
and its little lullaby rings in my ears
it sings through its hands lands to mouth
peers just a second when death is here.
