for the first line it’s talking to one of my friends, how its always somethinf she says that starts an argument and i even apologize when its her fault 😭

sitting in my shoes is a reference to going unnoticed, the fact that my friends make a big deal calling out people having new shoes, but they never notice when i have any (on purpose or not,) nothing i take offense to but just something i noticed.

fingerpicking is what my “friend” does to her guitar, but shes always trying to write chords for my songs and she makes them happier than they actually should be when i write them
