What if it's not placed on moderators, but people as a whole if they want to comfort them? And if you're worried about it being harmful instead, there can also be people with roles like counselor to help out

I hear where you're coming from, however this is not an emotional support server. The staff is aware of the need to have it available and have provided a link to free international resources, for people experiencing crisis, in the sensitive poetry section of the server.

The subreddit MentalHealthIsland did something similar when they had public chat rooms open on Reddit. Although it was nice at first, the chat room would get filled with trolls. It got hard to discern the sincere people from those just wanting to cause trouble.
