A desert similar to life;
My limbs started shrivelling,
Lost of purpose, full of trife.

Then I saw at distance,
And at distance it was an oasis;
But is it an illusion?
Are you really waiting in stasis?

I as I read the poem I believe that main character's point of view describes ||death|| . So, you could describe his physical senses as they ||dies||... You can use different online dictionaries if you ask me.

i really like the "limbs started shriveling" line because of how things tend to shrivel in heat i thought that was really clever !! i had to look up what stasis meant LMFAO but i really like how it works with the rest of the poem cs at first it didnt really fit but once i knew what it meant it clicked in really smoothly
