Today I was locked indoors, still isolated from my friends due to this sickness.
Today I played with my dog. He always smiles no matter what happens.

Today I watched videos on my phone to forget that I'm sick.
Today I stayed in bed, it's always warm there.
Today the 27th
Today i stared at the wall and tried to sleep
Today I stayed awake. It's always lighter here
Today the 27th
Today i did nothing

Tonight i got a text
Tonight he won't be coming back
Tonight the 27th
Tonight i layed in bed, it's cold here now
Tonight i watched my phone, but nothing was playing
Tonight the 27th
Tonight i stared at the wall and tried not to cry
Tonight i smiled i don't want my brother to be sad
Tonight the 27th
Tonight i played with my dog he was tired
Tonight i tried to leave and get to him,

Tonight i saw the stars

Really loved this. Very relatable. Maybe because I am getting over cold at the moment. It’s very symmetric and the the repetition was great. I was a little take aback at the break from the repetition but I’m assuming that was on purpose. It’s a lovely poem.
