The weather is too warm
The sky is too blue and the wind is too calm
The brown skirts and orange sweaters stay unworn
While the t-shirts stay in use for far too long
I want to feel the cool breeze when I walk in the streets
Get my brown coat out and parade it through the city
I want to be cold and crawl into my blanket cocoon at night
Feel satisfied by the warmth of my shower
I want to drink tea out of my pumpkin mug
Light up my candles and read a book under my fairy lights
I want to see the world through a brown and orange lens
And not have my eyes ache from all the bright colours
I want fall to feel like fall again
