The moon is out, The music is playing in the background,
Low Lo-fi, as the LED lights I have shine around the room in a purple hew,
I drift into a feeling of Tranquility,
My eyes close and my heartbeat slows,
My body lies still and my breathing rests,
I start to drift into though, trapped in my own mind,
But not wanting to leave or try and escape,
The thoughts of comforting voices fill my head,
Things like people telling me they love me,
But as I think of these thoughts,
Someone enters my head,
Not saying comforting things, but discouraging,
Making me locked in a trance,
Listening and taking in every lie they tell,
Their tongue never stopping, one of a serpent,
The music shuts off, The moon gets dimmer,
My heartbeat intensifies, my breathing out of control,
Their voice slowly fades away, And I gasp for air,
Breaking out off my state of peacefulness,
Bringing only despair and sorrow,
I sit back catching my breathe,
Play the music,
And restart the cycle,
of trying to find...
Tranquility.
