There she lies,
Brooding in grace.
In the dark she silently tries,
As comfort is what she chase.

No emotion she feels in her heart,
Yet she weeps over her glooming past.
She wakes up having her soul apart,
Sure, she socializes but yet she's an outcast.

Afraid to face the consequences of seeking the light again,
So in the darkness she takes refuge for she feels comfort.
She seeks help but is met with more pain,
So she wonders what she did to deserve this hurt.

She lost the only person who felt like home,
Within her is a weak flame, showing she has some hope.
She made thousands of new friends who she thought fit in her comfort zone,
Yet with the loss of that one person, she cannot cope.

The ones she sees as past but distressing peers,
Still wouldn't stop their demeaning behavior.
Unable to leave their ego and understand her sorrowful tears,
Knowing nothing yet continuing their ignorant tattle-teller.

Oh for there she lies,
Feeling ever so numb.
Like a dying flickering firefly flies,
So is the inner flame in her heart succumb.
