#Honey lime soda, perhaps

golden sierra

I (tried to) polish my voice
with a subpar nourishment
the industrially produced

  • honey (not from bees)
  • lime (from a greenhouse)
  • soda (pumped with waste)

sugar crafts acids crafts cavities
my cup spills it all out in disgust.
I can’t crave it now.

the natural colours are not
natural after all the chemicals
natural after all the procedures
natural after they were pulled
from the solutions pulled
from flowers pulled
from the earth
pulled

inevitable thirst pines
pines for more

new year’s wish for health
long live ourselves
where are they now?
