Made 3 glass sheets with 90 shards in the forge and only one sheet was the result.

I'm not able to reproduce this in singleplayer, I put in 90 shards and get 3 sheets. Are you just mentioning that they dont stack?

which forge are you using btw?

oh, I see what might be the problem... if you're using the Industrial forge, check the floor/ground:

sometimes they will fall UNDER the forge and you won't see them unless you move the forge
