Make sure you place the items required INSIDE of the workbench!

So right off the bat, when attempting to create "metal brackets" in the standard workbench [see attached image], it requires a hammer even if you have one on you.

For the record, this is the same for all other parts that are supposed to be craftable within the workbench.

currently all tools and materials have to be inside the workbench's inventory
