I know that objects in vehicle beds, etc. has been mentioned. But I wanted to show a clip of the behavior that I witnessed just now. I've been having no issues putting the blue container in my truck, along with a gas tank. I go to water tank, fill up the blue container, come back to base, move container near my storage farm and unload water to prepare for winter. That' NOT been a problem. Maybe the hippity hoppity truck, but no driving issues, etc. Until today...experimental 11444...
I have a container and generator in my pickup bed. I had just grabbed a generator from a cabin, came back to base, and did some things. Saved game last night. Logged on just now, and prepared to head out for the day. I opened my gates...and tried to leave. The CONTAINER and GENERATOR were FIXED in place, like an anchor. The vehicle tried to drive forward and would "hit" the container and generator, causing damage to vehicle and my person. I was able to move the object out of my truck, and move the truck with no issue. I then put the generator back in the truck bed. I was able to pull ahead without issue.

If you watch the video, you'll see that when I put the generator in the bed and jump in the truck, the screen goes black for a couple seconds as well. That's a new issues as well. But I've never seen this boat anchor behavior, and wanted to ensure Devs could clearly see it. Hope it helps!

This is a common bug that keeps rearing its ugly head ever since the early versions of the demo. Hope it'll one day be squashed for good!

Rule 1 after you've played a while - never leave any object in or on a vehicle when saving.
Rule 2 is don't hit ANYTHING when driving with objects inside...I lost a full load backing into a floor lamp, Not a lamp post.. a living room lamp 🙂

often times when you leave the area the attached items will become detached, you can sometimes see the vehicle bouncing but the items are not, in these situations (or even if you think they've become detached) it's best to just place them on the ground and then place them back on the vehicle if, of course, you have the time.

Boat anchor had happened and reported back in the day when from my INV I dropped a pen into the bed of the truck thinking it would fall on the ground. Was it after a save I dont remember

I had tested a lot more after and it's just seems random, sometimes leaving the area and returning will cause items to become detached and sometimes not 😄

Also, one time, everything got detached but I was able to drive away with all the stuff just clipping through the box truck doors and sitting there floating in the road

It had been working fine for me for a week IRL. Then the latest patch started it again. I usually keep the blue container and a gas tank in the pickup for water scavenging. Maybe it was the generator? I'll remove the generator and try it again and see what happens.
