We got plastic, alumin(i)um and iron, but not woodscrap. So if you get 5 woodscrap per plank (or 20 per log, as you get 4 planks out of 1 log), you should get double the amount of woodscrap out of planks (and 4times out of logs) per workbench.
Sure, in standard difficulty there will be barely a difference, but in insanity mode, with the recent dismantling changes, you have a hard time getting anything beside what the workbench gives you.

I gut every house, the yields are not that great on insanity difficulty. I probably get more wood scrap from chopping down trees, crafting the logs into planks and then dismantling the planks than I would gutting a house

you literally destroy anything in any house that is wood and you get wood scraps if you aint going to use it and you can turn logs and wood anything back into wood scrap just by dismantling it lmfao correct? or did they change that as i dismantled wood logs all the time and get wood scrap back
