#Framerate died, unplayble, after new update (experimental) (videos before and after)

I had a decent framerate yesterday in my base. Today after updating the game and loading in my framerate has to be below 30 or 10 and during a horde I could barely hit zombies with melee. I have a pretty beefy system (4080TI, fast ram, AMDs 3D CPU) but it's easiest to give a clip from before and now after.

The one running terrible is on High settings while the one running great is a few days ago running on Ultra. In fact, changing the preset didn't alter the performance at all. All is recorded from the same base.

Videos are locked at 60 FPS but I can guarantee you I had above 100 before this new update.

Hope this gets some attention because the game is now unplayable for me.

The after video also highlights the zombie clothing bug. The performance was much better on the non-experimental. I think I will try to go back to the basic version of the game but I don't know what this will cause to the save files if I do that.

Welp, none of my saves appeared after going back to the original version of the game. RIP.

They are in your appdata folder now so you can move them back to Vein/Saved/SaveGames, but if you saved over anything you can't go back from experimental

#

There are new features in experimental which get put in your saves that main branch doesn't understand

Hey man. I re-downloaded the experimental to see if that did anything. So I went from experimental patch > normal > experimental and recorded this. I ran as far as I could from my base. I set the settings to Low and then back to Ultra and it doesn't seem to have any effects.

I will try to go back to the normal version of the game and to see if I can get the saves back.

Video:
(it's low quality but 60 FPS so you can tell the framerate is really low in game)

I also noticed my save files are now 200 mb in size each and the entire folder in appdata is around 7 gigs in size with all the autosaves and what not. Earlier save files were around 40-50 mb. I suppose it makes sense the more you interact with the world.
