I am a 3 year firefighter/paramedic who recently played the game. While I understand you want the builds to be balanced I feel like the game is underplaying firefighters and their skills in whole. 1st of all, especially in my rural department where I work we are majority involved with maintenance of our generators, trucks, tools, and hoses. So we have quite the knowledge on mechanical aspects, and also some electrical trades. So it'd be nice if yall added some mechanic and electrical experience to the firefighting role. And 99% of firefighters whether it's metropolitan or rural areas have their EMT license at a minimum so I feel like I shouldn't have to waste a skill on being medically inclined in the game when being a Medic is a prerequisite to being a firefighter. And secondly all the firefighters I have met, while being in great shape have little agility. We are stuck in moon boots and bunker pants that make our cardio great but agility ass so if you would want to nerf the firefighter I feel like lowering the agility part would be fair.

How do you balance this with other roles then… agility debuff is fine but can be fixed by changing out of the clothes.

OR, maybe these professions could be looked at as "in training" or a year of experience only where you will not have as much understanding in your profession as someone that has been doing it for 3 years or longer?

The starting professions each have their specific bonuses for a reason in a video game, not real life. There has to be room for personal interpretation of what the devs had in mind.

Same deal when we played PZ, you can choose to be a war veteren but only gives you 2-3 pips in guns. Why not max out guns, it's a veteren! 🙁 Well because again it's a video game and each buff being offered via a class or whatever system is devs own interpretation of what they want to add for those specific buff without starting you out OP.
