Would be amazing to be able to connect pipes to a water collector that would then connect to surrounding barrels or water containers. The system seems a bit tedious right now having to transfer water to an extra container in your inventory in order to transfer to water barrels. Wouldn't doubt it if this has been brought up already but figured the more feedback the better. Still staying addicted that's for sure!

I just want this for every source of fluid. its tedious having to move fluids from a large container to drum that you can't have in your inventory. I was thinking a siphoning kit you could carry with you. the first stage would be a basic hose which causes some damage when you try to siphon a fluid like gas or oil, the second tier uses a hand pump so you get tired, but it gives vitality/strength/agility xp. and the last one is a battery powered pump.
and the hose imo would be useful throughout the game till you lost power/water as you could hook it up to the sinks or water taps and just fill a barrel.

absolutely this. it just makes much more sense and imo the mechanic would be a lot cooler if treated like how a gas pump works for cars. A long button press that you have to hold for the first two tiers with increasing speed at which it would fill up for the second tier; giving xp for each skill like you said. then the third battery powered pump you could walk away from and it would automatically pump the liquid until the battery runs out.
