these days nobody drives a car without some form of navigation, so would be nice that when player has powered phone, there would be visible minimap at least while one is driving

Or it would be nice if you could find a gps that you can attach to a car and it only be visible when in first person.

Please, don't do that.
The charm of the game is that there is no bloody minimap; excuse my language. The lack of a minimap adds to the immersion during gameplay, and just like in real life, you have to check where you are – like in the original Mafia, you clicked tab and a map appeared, and normally you drove without any hints.

i don't see why it shouldnt' be in a game, not saying you should just get minimap, i'm saying that you should have phone powered to get that, maybe drag it to car's inventory or something, but i don't see how not knowing where you driving and opening map every couple seconds is fun

#

unless you not a car driver irl, then you prolly wouldn't know, but you don't drive blindly irl, you either use navigation or been driving for so many times, that you know the route

#

and this game isn't set in 1990 where there's no access to navigation

#

and by having to have phone in car's invenotry, only those that want to have such thing would have it

I could see having a tablet that can be slotted into the dash that provides google/apple maps like directions to a destination and a small map view. While walking, holding a phone, lets you see a small version of the map in 1st person.

I agree we need a GPS mini map on either the phone or GPS is active. And like on the top left of the screen or something so we can see it while driving. I myself and others I've watched on YouTube are switching back and forth while driving and crashing. I think this would be a super big quality of life improvement.
