@wooden python if we're going to use the same site again, there's a little gear icon next to each draft type where you can tweak some base settings, like minimum optimum resources/influence. Might want to tweak some of those to avoid the abysmal influence situation from last time.

Couple things I noted, speaker order 6 Barony is catastrophic

Xxcha is one of the few factions that can't do tempesta turn 1 Primor turn 2

But u could take warfare which defeats purpose of tempesta

And also risks not getting Xxcha BT which I think is critical for them

I agree with the titan thoughts. Bad slice for titans, but they are generally a strong sit at home faction so they can kind of work with it.

I like titans slice, can maybe go for both equidistants , two greens kips means x89 is in the table at some point. With synergy could get x89 and transit diodes and go sit on mecatol with hel titans🤨. Cruisers means mecatol is always in range, I'm always a fan of pds2 as well.

with titans if you get the explore first, even if they take the system off you, they have to bring a lot or you just take it straight back next round with sleeper tokens

gravleash manoeuvres is super cool, you can send your destroyer though a rift so it gives everything +1 move, and then just path the rest of your fleet around the rift so youre only rolling for the 1 destroyer

Yeah I think I'd be most happy with Creon's draft here, getting Primor as Nekro rocks and so does having a nearby green skip for Nekro hero & being next to Argent for their destroyer tech. I debated between the slice I took & the 2/3 cultural/hazardous planet slice, mine has more resources but if I can't get decent warfare timing then I have to skip getting the 0/1.

Was surprised to see Nomad get taken first, my thought was that them and Argent were the two likely to get left out. Thought about grabbing deepwrought instead of Mahact but didn't want to end up with them next to either Nekro or L1Z1X

Does anyone have experience with a slice with two gravity rifts right down the middle? I don't think I'd risk the 50/50 for round 1 mecatol unless the objectives strongly encouraged it (make history maybe, but even then going for cormund+rift and only risking 1 grav rift might be better), but I'm curious how it tends to affect the midgame

DWS is stupidly broken and arguably the best or 2nd best faction in the game

And this slice is a collective 6/2/5 for them which is nuts

Would take AMD GD as starters, someone else would wanna grab a green or yellow tech I am sure with VS, and then with tech u can just take dread 2s and start pumping them out, or carrier 2s, or fighter 2s, I mean it's just dumb

And god forbid someone gives u AIDA, u can get war suns R2

My favourite part of deepwrought is the fact that you can coexist when someone tries to winslay you

I was thinking I'd try to get on Empys good side, they can hang out in the center rift and get the token for it and I can get our equi to dock it and send stuff through their units with their ability when needed, but if they aren't down to cooperate at all I probably have a pretty hard time. Rift-worming over to deepwrought to grab their commander ability by round 3 or so seemed good but Nekro would be v scary as a neighbor

I think the best bet is treating that adjacent grav rift as a supernova and ignoring it completely

And then working with the resources u got to do the Mahact thing and eat your neighbors

But this shows a hidden challenge with a nucleus draft

U draft a relatively strong seat, a maybe slightly weaker than average set of adjacents, then see they don't mesh together at all and are really stuck.

I've drafted a set of adjacents with an asteroid field with no amd on my left tile and a seat with a super nova in the center. I felt so limited by my movement options all game it felt awful.

Not the worst I've seen, but close. I was in a game where the Nekro player drafted a seat with an asteroid field as their equi on the right and a slice with a supernova on their doorstep. Their neighbor to the right drafted a slice with an asteroid field adjacent to their home on the left. That meant Nekro could only go one way (left), which was towards Argent. I think they only got AMD end of round 3 somewhere, so they were in constant conflict with Argent over access to the rest to the board.

One of my many current Empyrean games running. Poor Hacan got a mid set of adjacents and with my BT, I've been able to effectively wall him completely out of our equidistant.
