Time for a new adventure!

Introducing pbd11111 (pbd1x5), a Mega Franken game, where you will be one of 24 Franken factions, vying to take over the galaxy with your amalgamation of abilities.

A Mega-sized Franken draft Game, with 24 factions all draft from the same pool. We will do a Powered Franken draft with DS factions and US components added in, but Blue and Red tiles are restricted to 2 and 1 respectively.

Components management will follow Luminous’ Comprehensive Franken list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zxe2Q5ICCiEOaABhjk6OohaoCDNGVxd9b522SS1-rUM/edit?gid=892904002#gid=892904002. Blue Reverie factions will be banned because they are still in the middle of balancing by Tactic Blue.

Positions will be drafted according to locations on the map as seen below. They were not created equally, so players will have to choose wisely. You can place your 2 Blue and 1 Red tiles anywhere in your “slice”. The prebuild map will have some wormholes, so Lodor (Alpha), Quann (Beta), Atlas (Beta), Fakrenn (Alpha) in the Blue tiles, and Alpha, Beta in the Red tiles will be removed from the draft.

We will play 5/5/4 to 14 points.

Sign-ups are open now. You can sign up as individuals or as teams. If you have no experience with Franken, I encourage you to join a team with an experienced player instead of playing solo. If you don’t have a team but want to join one, I will help to put you in a team. The form will help me put inexperienced players with experienced ones.

Ok, a little long, but here it is:

There will be a global speaker order (Your position), which is used in agendas. However, you obviously can't have 24 people picking from the same 8 SC. So, during the strategy phase, everyone will be grouped into a set of 6 factions based on their map rings. Each group will have their own set of SC, so between the 6 of them they will have their own leadership, diplo, etc. that they can pick from.

This means that for turn order, the first turn will be by the one drafted Telepathic, the second turn will be by SC group 1's leadership (initiative 11). The next turn will be by SC group 2's leadership (initiative 12), and so on. After every leadership player has taken their turn, then SC group 1's diplo will take their turn (initiative 21)

For following SCs, players will only be able to follow the cards used by players in their SC group. So everyone in SC group 1 must wait for their group's leadership to be played, even if other groups are getting their leaderships.

The exception to this for SCs, is Politics. There will only be 1 Politics card for the whole table to be able to pick. Additionally, you cannot pick the politics card if anyone in your SC group currently holds the speaker token, and the speaker token cannot be given to player who is currently first in their group, or in the same group as the current speaker. This politics player has the unique initiative of 3, and reacts to SCs like normal, but everyone in the galaxy can react to politics

These groups are only reshuffled when one group gets lower than 4 factions, or the total number of factions gets lower than 19 (and 13 after that).

It's customary to put the Mega game in the Hub for the widest audience, and this is also the server where I know everyone at least started in. I don't know if everyone is in any other server, and it would be a pain to find out and add them into that server.

1st, if you see yourself in a team, that means one of your teammate adds you in as their teammate, or you expressed the desire to be in a team, so I put you together. The latter might have problems, so you can talk to me if anything crops up.

2nd, whether you are in a team or not, I will expect you to keep up with the game pace. In the draft stage, you will have 12 hours for each draft round. If you miss this deadline twice, I will have to find a teammate/replacement for you. In the game itself, you will need to be on the ball with your turn. The expectation is that you have your turn figured out, negotiation finished, and your actions known and ready to input when your turns come. For those in teams, if an unexpected decision comes up, if 50% of your team approves, please just send it. If we aren't hearing from you, your turn will be skipped and/or replacement brought in. Also, please keep as much chatter out of the main actions channel as possible.
