Meh. Honestly I don't mind them.
They enable some bull shit for sure. But if you trust who you're playing with to not do bullshit, I think it speeds the game up in a healthy way.
Basically makes it play to 9 tbh.

Agree with this. Ignoring the bullshit king-make move, the couple games I've played with Support has added a bit of depth

Other group I've played a couple with don't start swapping until somebody else has. So has been R3 - R4 before the supports come out. And hasn't been neighbors every time, usually somebody cuts a deal with Support in it, and then the rest of the table scrambles
