It’s fine I just need to know how to get the map to work. I don’t have the breakthroughs memorized yet.
And the text of them does not show up on the old UI
It does not work on Safari, Google, Bing, or DuckDuckGo
a lot of those aren't browsers which makes this very confusing

They are at the very least separate apps on my phone
Custodia Vigilia is showing as a 2/3 in new UI, and its readied when I just unlocked it. It correctly shows as an exhausted 2/2 in old UI.
It does not work on FireFox either for me

Hello, have reported already but just again for visibility: can't see text of objectives when hovering over/clicking on them, making it a bit awkward when you want to check the specific wording of a public objective or can't remember what the title actually means.
Use this scoring info button it will show you the objectives and their names.
As well as how far along you are to scoring them.

Yeah that's fine, I was pointing out a functionality that was in the old ui that isn't in the new one - wasn't sure if it was a bug or intentional since everything else including units can be clicked on to enlarge their further information boxes

I have on my TODO list just revisiting the objectives area a little bit more holistically on mobile and will address this then.
Is there a way to lock these faction buttons so they don't change to the faction being hovered but just change manually?

It's probably already was mentioned, what is confusing to me is now all the planets got control tokens and it's shows a bit confusing, since it seems like that the infantry/mech might be in the space instead of the planet.
There's an option to change that in the settings menu.

I assume that crimson home uses the tr/tl/br/bl position, maybe just moving the system somewhere else could work as a temporary workaround

Triad seems to not be updating the res/inf on the card but it is counting for the total spends?

This card can be readied and spent as if it were a planet card. Its resource and influence values are equal to 3 plus the number of different types of relic fragments you own.
The light that shines without reflects the dark it harbors within.

it's implemented as a planet similar to custodia vigilia, except it should be getting excluded for objectives

yeah. I don't have the backend give the actual planet values but it gives the totals. That's something I want to make entirely bot driven rather than have it computed on the client side (which has been the source of many of these variants of bugs).

TF Foresight wording incorrect in web ui #1437746894947483762 message
i havent been in any other galvanization game, but theres some weird icon placements (https://asyncti4.com/game/pbd15445)
image: 3 out of 5 dreads are galvanized, it seems that they are even grouped separately, which is great, but the '3' is outside the hex, over another - this grouping is not present in other fleets however (1 out of 3 Cruisers galvanized)
also when Thunder' Edge is placed, could it be somehow minimized or replaced by some marker, then keep TE outside the main map, like Mallice? cant think of another clean but relatively simple solution to this

not sure if this is just for the newui (as I'm not seeing it on the old one) but the expeditions I did as firmament don't seem to have been 'flipped' to obsidian in pbd15234. Basically TE is back in the corner with the two expeditions I had completed token-less, while the planet is still where I placed it after completion.

just checking -- did you get your issue resolved by a refresh of the browser?
i already mentioned it here that the width of the right-side panel is not persistent, on refresh the width resets. a dev claimed that it should be cached, but i tried multiple browsers and it does not remember the width
e.g. i prefer width: 24.2768%, but on each load it loads with width: 30%
(zoom and other presumably cached things are persistent)

Ok. My guess is the settings you have are not letting my code detect it as a mobile device and so the rendering is not giving you the mobile changes or something like that
@jolly lark are you able to check real quick in non duck duck go browser just to see if it looks better and that's the culprit?

I'm having a consistent issue on Firefox mobile where this part of the new UI is always blocking part of the map and I can't move or minimize it. I also can't zoom out any further
I'm working on a holistic solution for this that I think will fix it for all. Sorry for all the issues with the zooming nonsense
I learned that Chrome is the only browser that properly implements CSS Zoom
so all these lesser browsers are struggling
In the status phase where you press buttons to get points there is a button for ”A song like Marrow”, which I assume shouldn’t be there.

in my experience Chrome does a bunch of things that aren't w3 standard, which makes things wonky on other browsers even when they work on chrome
zoom is not (yet) a standard thing in specs
yes I went down the rabbit hole and just learned that zoom is an old vestige and Mozilla is refusing to add support for it
which is very obnoxious because Zoom properly affects layout sizing whereas transform(scale()) does not
so the way I had to fix this is disgustingly having a "zoom container" component that renders the content absolutely positioned, measures it with javascript, then applies width/height to the outer container to account for what it should be as zoomed

but this is one of those weird cases where literal zoom is actually what I want, not just responsiveness
it works better than a fully responsive approach, which would be interminably long and make cross player comparisons hard on mobile

Is there a way to view Objective text from the new UI? In the old one I could tap the objective name to see the requirements but that doesn't seem to work for the new one.

I'm getting the same. I can actually use the new UI but the old UI won't refresh because "No authentication token available" and when I try to do the Discord login it fails.
If you see that modal often it means the bot is restarting
I'm working on a solution that decouples the web UI from the bot
But just give it a moment and refresh and it will appear again

Question--is the Old UI planned to be deprecated/removed at some point?
no
for several reasons
a) discord images will still be supported so if we're creating those images why not make them available on the website
b) lots of people like it more and it has some advantages
c) while I'm reasonably content with the "new UI" desktop experience (bugs/inconsistencies aside), I think it's still not great on mobile and needs a lot of work
ok thanks. I fall under b category (though I'm sure I could get used to new ui if I took the time, it looks really snazzy)
what I will say is that the New UI is built on an architecture that allows for a lot more functionality, which I will continue to work on to make it better and better. 🙂 you should try it on desktop sometime! it's got a lot of fun things
It's the wrong text for the Last Bastion Space dock in the new UI. It says "production 2", but it's supposed to be resource value+2 like any other dock.
The zoom issue in mobile browsers may not be 100% resolved yet 😅

This issue is only related to the TI4 TE Twilight's Fall game mode.
I was wondering where the "Wavelength Technology" and "Antimatter Technology" are displayed in the new map UI. The new map UI accurately displays Genomes, Abilities and Unit Upgrades but I don't see "Technology" anywhere. Hopefully I'm wrong and this is displayed somewhere.

I'm sure this has been added to some to-do-list somewhere, if not feel free to do so and to process this request when convenient.
I'm noticing that in a twilight's fall game on the new web UI, it's not showing my action cards in the "action card and secret objectives" area

Back to TF stuff, it looks like the mech and flagship Unit Upgrades are nowhere to be seen on New UI.

Seems like the new UI has no visual indicator for Naaz Rokha's breakthrough being active on their super mech. Hovering over the mech on their faction tab still shows the old mech's stats

New UI hasn't updated Custodia Vigilia as a 2/2 planet
The "Ruler" feature seems to be off by 1 tile (presumably not accounting for the fracture moving stuff around properly?)
Also, the ruler feature does not seem to work when measuring distance to / within the fracture
Small thing - neighbours through space stations are not showing
you aren't neighbors, you can transact
there's a SO that cares, several ACs that care, and Empy commander cares
on another note, there seems to be no way to see which flags the nekro BT has copied in the new ui

When you win a hero tigl game, make it so you only get the hero if you voice one line for that faction.
i had a few fans try and frankly the quality just wasn't there. some of it is just equipment stuff. you really need high quality setup for it to sound good
I didn't do the final math but given that this damn game has 25 factions I think the total ended up being 6K ish 💀 .

I'm not anti-AI like lots but AI voices aren't there
they're pretty good for narration/dictation stuff
but like cinematic high-energy performances
it totally falls flat
and it can't pronounce sci-fi for shit
If you have a good foundation model and fine-tune it with what you have it'd be good enough
Use AI for DS but keep the janky lines
that sounds more like the TF mahacts vibe
just a matter-of-factly "and now I kill you" kind of lines
I didn't fine-tune my own model. But I tried several different things from companies that were giving audio AI specifically for video game characters and it was super hit or miss.

and it was pretty damn good
Go by the "you think you can do better? Have at it!" approach. Not unlike OldUI -> NewUI. One day the MemePhilosopher of the voice world will come along

basically where I'm at is for now this thing is just a silly goofy novelty that gets a chuckle or two and I'm content with that. it was fun to make.
the original vision was to somehow succeed at making combat in TI sound awesome (in real life). in that vector, I don't think this succeeded
I think it could succeed but it needs a LOT more work to be good
With fine-tuning and the samples you have you could definitely produce better. Don't suppose you have a very good GPU with a lot of memory do you?
at this point I'd be fine doing AI stuff for DS it feels fine it's homemade and the artwork is AI so you're already in that
since the "official" content has no AI and that's very important to some people, if I ever pick up these additional voices I'd want to do no-AI. doesn't make sense to "taint" the last five factions with AI stuff when the rest isn't.
well if it's something that were truly awesome I'd consider it down the line.

So - bit of an update on this stuff.
I'm aware the mobile pan experience is very subpar. I did some research and the strategy I'm using of using css transforms just causes problems.
There's a different approach I can take here to properly "scale down" the content for mobile without css transforms. This should create both better performance, cause less rendering issues, and fix the weird issues with panning the website currently has.
The problem is I need to make a lot of adjustments to a lot of areas of the code to make this work :(. I was lazy and used px measurements in a lot of places and need to move everything to rem based, so it'll be a bit.

I think I have found a bug with plastic limits being reported in pbd15270.
The player has fighters in 4 systems and then some on the hero. New UI says 5/10 used, and Old UI says 6/10 used.
So if the hero is supposed to have a plastic piece, then New UI is correct. Otherwise, Old UI is correct.

I would assume the hero takes plastic, since TI is a physical game first and foremost.

what people have in their hands isn't but the full deck set isn't hidden

from those two, you can easily figure out the total set of cards that are in people's hands

I was considering adding Red tape support to the new UI if that is a feature not being worked on currently. I think it would depend on a web data change though, so it might take some effort. The old UI seems like it hacks that data together because it has access to the game model.

I think the problem is less the UI and more that the creuss HS is in 503 and not tr/br/bl
so the UI is shifting to deal with a 5-ring map

Like this: Lazik (lazik2110) in player area on map hex or in dashboard under map, doesn't really matter.
Or use any form of user settings for logged in users so they can choose what they want to see as default? I am often time reviewing games for TIGL where players have to fill discord tag in the report game form and it would be much easier for me to know if the report contains correct players as often times server name is completely different from discord tag.
Also it would be nice to see current score in each player's area under the map, so we don't have to scroll up and down and it would be visible near the player

Hey, a random suggestion... Not sure if others agree. The unit window in the web UI always throws me because the upgrade is highlighted and I'll be like "hey, did he upgrade his cruisers?". I feel like the actual stats should be highlighted and the upgrade backgrounded.

Only way to recover is to open a different game, "go to old UI", then reopen 17708. No obvious issue displaying it there.

Sorry, I read through more of the discord and see this has been investigated further. If the error is that attachments can't be read, it is possible the webdata being sent for the game was inaccurate. I looked for usages of that property and all looked null-safe to me. I'll look a bit if that is even possible, or if my theory is just wrong.
It said something like "e.attachments cannot be read, e is null". Assuming code is minified to some extent, e could really be anything

When the planetEntityData is processed, it tries to process Avernus because the token is a planet entity, but then the data isn't there to process.

It also shows in the old UI, and the movement value is applying correctly, so I supposed it's just the new UI.
My flagship copies the ability of my other ships and it's showing my destroyer's ability correctly, not sure if there's something to do with these overlapping.

I think the TE token is rendered far to big on the new UI often completely hiding what is behind. It's often placed on AF and it covers it - not a huge issue as you can still see it on the edges. But we placed it for example on a tile with AF, station and GR and it looks like on attached screen. If you know there is a rift then yea, you will see the halo, but come on, easy to make a mistake at the glance. And it looks far better on old ui (eg system info - attached for comparison)
The physical TE that comes in the box matches the one in new ui

We can't see what flagships abilities Nekro has copied with the "valafar assimilator Z" in the new UI. In the old there is at least the icon that shows Nekro has copied the DWS flagship but in the new UI there is nothing (both mobile and desktop version). I'm using chrome on Android. Game name pbd18057.

- Current agenda status, number of folks being waited for whens/afters, potential vote counts, riders, abstains, etc. bonus for no whens/afters button
- Current turn's movement overlay.. like, active system highlighted with +

It's a good push to do the large scale rewrite of how zoom stuff works anyways but I'll fix the bug first
Pushing a significant change to unit placement. The algo used to be considering neutral tokens (like ingress tokens, or ghost wormholes, or breaches) as equivalent to enemy factions for the sake of unit placement. the end result is that this would cause your own units to be pushed too far to the rim

hello, I apologize if this has been reported before, the pathing has a weird offset for me. In the screenshot I plotted a path with two beta wormholes, from 206 to 318. I'm using Firefox 147.0.2 on Windows 10 with a 3840x2160 monitor, no in-browser zoom

I actually think the opposite is true. The standard recommendation for colorblind accessibility is to use unique, easily differentiated symbols.
Colorblind friendly palettes are a nice-to-have, but they don't really address the core issue, because most colorblind people don't naturally rely on color for information, since they know how unreliable it is for them
So I would say using decals for a colorblind mode is the best solution
i agree but easily differentiated is the key word there. all our decals as they stand make things generally less readable
probably the cadillac solution is decals that are designed to maximize legibility/not obstruct
My idea for a colorblind mode was to make white decals for the TF symbols, make every ship the default colors, and then force the TF tokens

You probably already know this, but the new UI seems to have trouble displaying some Franken icons, specifically ones that are tied to generic emojis, rather than ones from the server.
For example, I chose 🐟 as my icon here and it clearly doesn't work lol
I also wish the New UI displayed the custom Franken name in some capacity like the Old UI does
I think player areas would benefit from techs being shorthanded, possibly controlled by an option. Should create a lot of horizontal room to better fit the pannable mobile player areas under the map.
e.g.
Antimass Deflectors = AMD
Sarween Tools = ST
This would use the existing "initials" field in the tech data

The the description of my ghost alliance is wrong in the new UI, it shows the Crimson alliance but it is a PoK game so obviously no Crimson in the game. In the old UI it shows the correct alliance. Game pbd16865, using chrome on android.

I think there is a problem with Empyrean void tether ability from BT. I activated a system adjacent to another player HS where he has 2 space docks with the relic that give them pds2 5x2, i put a void tether token between the two systems but when he fired pds he got also the shoots from the HS
Possibly the bot doesnt account for this scenario so need to resolve manually (ignore PDS hits)

There is another number after the 3. I don't remember exactly how many but its thirty something.
for franken falls you can get 2 BTs but it only shows one of them.
Visual bug
It pops up downwards for certain units even when it's not at the top of my screen, though not when it's at the bottom. It's only a problem with this faction, which is listed first.
Only carrier, cruiser, fighter, and infantry are unaffected.
This is only a problem on mobile.
Why aren't active laws in the main page of the ui?

a lot of the data is going to be empty because it depends on fresh data collection that I just wired up and doesn't exist for historical games
as you play more games you should start seeing things fill in

Just a personal hang up for me perhaps, and you didn't ask for feedback, but I dislike that it shows abandoned games (or that they can't be toggled).

"Do I owe a debt to anyone?" is a question I wanna be able to answer without checking all the other 5 people's debt pools
total war points aren't accurate on the scoring projection and the objective tracker, just the actual scoring track. Multiple factions here have >1 total war points and it only shows up as 1 for each of them

hi - would fix if I can, but I think it's only your firefox 🙁 would check extensions or other quirky settings that might be interfering, try updating, only have really basic advice like that.
In twilights fall if you have the nomad flag unit tech it doesn't seem to show that information anywhere on the map and it doesn't reflect on the unit at all.
Not sure if it accounts for it in combat yet as i've not done a combat with it but in terms of visibility it doesn't exist unless you use player info.
using neuraloop and adding an SO instead a PO makes it unclickable like all Other objectives - would be nice if we could see what's it about
New UI bug on Mobile (android, tried in both to Firefox and Chrome)
Most things are clickable to bring up additional information via pop-up windows.
However, the Public Objectives don't seem to pop-up like everything else does.

Playing a Twilights Fall game (pbd20491) and the GreenTF player has the Nomad flagship unit upgrade.
On OldUI, it shows up. On New UI for Chrome and Firefox, it just shows no upgrade for the flagship.
Mobile is struggling with losing tiles when I'm zooming, I don't remember this happening before.

@slate rune I love the new dashboard to look at stats and stuff. It might be a bug but I noticed that when it displays your games it also shows details of FOW games that should be hidden such as which player is which faction. Would there be a way to hide FOW games?

Feature request: make exhausted breakthroughs look exhausted in new UI. Not really important for Ral-Nel but being at war with Arborec or Crimson and having to remember if they already exhausted their BT is incredibly confusing.

Triad adds a planet that shows up as exhausted, but the relic itself doesn't show as exhausted (unlike things like Emphidia or Circlet). Any chance that can also show up exhausted when the planet card (which is actually the relic) is tapped?

When Enforced Travel Ban is in effect, A and B wormholes cannot be used, and the UI represents this with 🚫. However, when Wormhole Reconstruction is in effect, A and B holes are granted additional powers not cancelled by ETB, so they can still be used. The bot misleadingly still has 🚫 next to A and B holes.

Something that has bugged me for a while is the lack of emoji support for Franken games, so I finally found some time to clone the repo and take a look at what it might take. I mostly am just getting familiar with the repo and seeing if it is possible, but it does seem so. This is just quickly using an external CDN, not the best long term solution, but if I implement this with something like react-emoji-render or react-easy-emoji and I want to contribute this change, what is the best way to do that?

I'm seeing the Firefox positioning for panel and pannable mode have the Expedition image positioned waaaay lowered.
