#Map Modes

A view like 'check wormholes' only it's planets with Tech Specs would be very helpful when Focused Research Projects comes into play.
Hmmm could be cool, could be
Believe @misty plover showed some work on this recently, if he wants to do the others I'd be glad to hear it
Wow, there are so many possibilities here. Think like Stellaris/Crusader kings map filters.
A button "Map Modes" leads to a selection
- Wormholes (as is)
- Attachments
- Tech specializations
- Industrial/Hazardous/cultural planets
These one are most relevant I feel
❤️🔥
The second part of this is largely implemented; trains, wormholes, attachments, tech skips, etc. Not so much the visibility of the units, but I'm not sure how useful it would be to hide units, given how important they are to the game.
These are effing awesome.
You toggle the units out so you can better see the planets beneath them, once you are done you will toggle the units back. Perhaps we can just give them opacity vs hiding them all together
Shipless map has been added.
Should the find legendaries button show Mecatol, which isn’t a legendary planet? That could be confusing if folks aren’t reading their objectives closely (for example, Mecatol doesn’t work for Control an Icon).
It's got a different icon;
instead of
.
That’s helpful. I can just see a new player pressing the find legendaries button, seeing Mecatol, and assuming it’s a legendary.
New map mode with units but only unlocked ones, pls 🙏
Helpful in mega games
Hide units in locked systems, or black out locked systems?
Hide units in locked systems
The point is to see who can attack me with how much plastic
But if you have something to indicate that they are units in the space area of tiles with hidden plastic, that's even better
Like with the colored tile borders maybe
To show it's not crossable
To summarize:
- hide units of players that passed
- hide units that are in systems with a CC of the same faction
- activate tile colored borders (or better equivalent to show uncrossability of hidden units)
