This game that changes some rules for the public objective deck and how the winner is deceded.

Trying to play decently fast, I'll be on to check back a few times a day (around 4 hour response time).

Can you explain the conquest win condition?

onyx ocean
#

Yeah! It's a second series of objectives that are pre-determined, and it's based off of some earlier versions of TI (TI2).
The main thing I wanna sus out is how it feels in comparison to normal victory points, and if it feels like it jives with the game, because I've written a whole bunch of stuff down for it myself, but I haven't really gotten a chance to play any games with it

I'm up for it 🙂
Do I read it right that this will basically make it more space risky?

So while you can't move back do you still need to fulfil previous criteria to progress?

#

And when you say at the same time, you need 11 non home planets at the end to win right?

#

It's all the criteria at once to 'score'

#

Or could you score one of the end goals one round and then the other next

floral tapir
#

I'd assume only the requirements for the next space would need to be met, otherwise it wouldn't need to repeat the 6 planets one in foundation and republic

#

I'd be up for trying this!

Imperium Rex sounds very very hard to get though

#

Feels like you need half the galaxy or something

#

But I guess that's the point

urban lynx
#

Yeah hope those 3 planet systems are in your half

floral tapir
#

It's interesting that it says nonhome systems and not 'excluding your home' or something

#

So other people's homes don't count

These are the Rule additions that get put in to compliment it, along with swaping out the warfare strategy card (it really just adds a line of text):
Status Phase
(1A) Starting left of the speaker in counterclockwise order, each player may advance their counter on the Galactic Conquest chart if they possess the requirements needed for advancement to the next bracket. To advance to the next bracket, a player must fulfill the requirements indicated in that bracket; if that player does, they advance to the next bracket. A player can never move backwards. A player can only advance 1 bracket per game phase. If a player advances to the Imperium Rex bracket, they have won the game.
(1B) Following Initiative Order, each player may score up to one public objective and one secret objective…

Remove the following objectives from the objective decks:
Stage 1
• Build Defenses
• Expand Borders
• Diversify Research
• Develop Weaponry
• Push Boundaries
• Sway the council
• Erect a Monument
• Lead from the front.
Stage 2
• Subdue the Galaxy
• Revolutionize Warfare

<@&1166011604488425482> can you create a new game for the group? name will be SpaceRisky

# fervent scroll Why are these objectives removed?

The intent is that those objectives are already going to be on the Progression Chart, so I didn't want to see Build Defenses pop up as an Objective, and then the expectation of meeting the same requirements down the line by happenstance.

Just because it was a spendie that was copied during the Empire Bracket. I also kinda wanted to see what it would see what it would feel like to tighten up the objective deck, and since I was using the text of each of those cards as templates, I didn't want to keep them in the deck
