#Incentivize Politics decisions happening in the right order

The Politics holder is supposed to assign speaker before the do anything else, but the buttons don't show up in that order.

Is there a way to make clicking 'play SC#3' first produce a 'assign speaker' button? One approach would be to enforce assigning speaker before populating the actual SC thread with other options. Another would be to produce the thread so that people can follow the secondary if there is an annoyingly lengthy speaker conversation or something. Even in that case, having the speaker assignment come first in the channel would probably help.

Ill throw a line of text but I dont think this is a big enough concern to merit much else

In my experience, it's one of the most consistently violated rules in the game 🤷‍♀️

That'd probably be proper SO discard order

#

Some rule breakings don't have much impact

#

This one must be exceedingly small

Knowing that you just drew a Politics Rider or Political Stability or that there's an agenda that matters a lot. Those things won't happen often, but they can have a huge impact if they do.

They can have a minor impact if they do occur. The two ACs you mentioned are probably the most relevant, and even then, I don't think they'd move the decision needle in 90% of the cases where they were drawn.

#

The agenda one does matter in the 4% *10% of cases where ya draw public execution and want to bamboozle the person behind you with it somehow by selling them speaker and then executing them. That's a rare case and the buttons are already in the right order for that

Baldrick is talkin about the draw ACs

#

Which is the part relevant to the rest of the table and appears first

I'll admit I didn't look closely to the issue at hand here, just thinking out loud about the games I had to remind people of the order

It happens a lot in my experience, and the feedback I have received is "I don't really know the rules, I just did stuff in the order it showed up in the bot" which is fair, but also feels pretty fixable

I kinda like the idea of the draw AC (and draw agenda) button not appearing until speaker is resolved

#

you really aren't supposed to do any other part of the card until that speaker decision is made and enough ACs can influence people's decisions, including every single economic one.

#

"Oh I can buy speaker, I've got spare tgs off the card I drew" etc

Nah, I'd rather run the risk of occasional accidental rule-breaking rather than increase the hassle of every politics play

#

I'd be willin to bet it affects under 0.1% of speaker sales

I think it's more than that, but it's a very small minority either way
