Ngl I am suprised no one has picked Zealots they are a fun faction. Lots of tech skips, and can produce ships and gain commodities off exhausting planets with techs skips. Always votes last in agenda after speaker if they want to. Has one of the strongest techs in the game.

Same with The L'tockk Khrask, especially with them being a cruiser faction who have a bombardment faction ability that produces infantry off bombardment. +1r on planets you control with no GFs.

Each tech skip planet acts like it skips 2 of the same color instead of just 1 of that color

So if you have a green skip and no green techs you could research hyper but not x-89 when you exhaust the planet for the tech skip. @dapper oxide

That has an interesting interaction with Psychoarcheology as that tech causes you to lose the "gain 1 commodity" aspect of the ability since you no longer exhaust planets to use tech specialties.

My role is in the tile making (as we currently have too few in the bot), of the 128 tiles that need to be completed, 99 of them are done. By done, the full sized planet art is completed. It has yet to be updated/added to the bot.

For colors: something is happening there that is not currently in my control.

Lastly (but not needed) I still need to add in the rest of the DS leader emojis.

There is a discord for TI homebrew, I have a channel on it where I have been posting regular updates on how the tiles are coming along

Given these are 1000 players, it seems like a titanic task to assign faction preferences. What if we do it random instead? I can create a google form to poll: 1) are you signed up? 2) will you participate? 3) what’s your discord name tag? We can use that info to easily filter who needs to be added. No response means filtering them out. Then we use random number generator to autocomplete spreadsheet with random factions. My two cents. I am available to help either way.

they trust me to just take the turns if I have a good idea, but they'll be throwing me ideas and suggestions the entire time to help me out :3

A team with a specific "captain" that has the lead role would probably work best for anyone who isn't sure how to handle the "democracy" of who has what input over their shared faction

There is never going to be a solution that makes everyone happy. Most factions are going to be ‘teams’ of 1-2 people. it has been expressed that this game is not a ‘community game’ and will not be running with teams per se. The pairs are likely made to just keep such a massive game moving. But I would fully expect people to back out of the game at some point in time, so having a large flex list is going to be important.

I know that personally I will be solo as it’s just how I work best.

Basically: Flex is saying that you are down for anything and have no preferences. So to assign them first before taking into account anyone else is not that way to do this.

Flex at this point has become: I’m fine with what’s left/ ready to fill in when it’s needed

Folks will come and go, and there are bound to be some that original wanted to play but are not longer going to do it

This is a hard thing to manage and it’s going to talk a lot of work

Once everyone is placed, there is going to be a flex form. If a faction becomes in need of replacing, I’ll pull from that flex list

If you are true flex, please know, someone that wants to play an open faction is going to get it before you do. I’m sorry, it’s just they way is has to be. Would rather have someone that wants that faction then someone that could careless

Team Kollecc is set up with a team captain, and a number of advisors to help the strategy discussions, dealings, and press buttons. And, you could be a part of this!

You can contribute as much or as little as you like, but a huge bonus if you're active on Discord in the American timezones, as we downunder will struggle to be available for these times and don't want to hold up the game.

We'll have a pretty good idea of exactly what we're doing with every turn before it comes to us, so you won't have to worry about making any impromptu decisions, and can work on an agreed upon action together based on whoever happens to be awake.

Games are played faster than mega games can be designed and organized and programmed, pbd3000 has yet to launch, I don’t know if there are any solid plans in the works for the next mega games or its number

I'd suggest you skip all those 3k, 4k and else. It would make perfect sense to make next one 10k. There's no sense of trying to match those numbers, since the bot becomes more popular with time.. IMHO

So my first thoughts:

1. Multiplying MR: for example there are several 6 or 7 MR that hop randomly once in a while so that lucky players may take it but not for long. When it vanishes, all ships are left, grounds are put to ships if capacity allows
2. Adding new factions. For example I know there's Warhammer 40k factions on the internet, maybe add those just for even more gigantic map
3. Instead of playing all different factions, play only single. Some ridiculous, like Cabal or Nekro (OK, Nekro would be really dumb)
4. Take some other ideas from Battle Royal: say, everyone starts on the border of the round map, but every X rounds, one circle of tiles turns into empty space (or some sort of anomaly for lulz and more spectacular view). Home systems are gonna become expandable, so maybe we can decide any HS enables public goals scoring
5. Minor factions - adding those neutral planets or else agree that after eliminating a player controlling his HS gives it's alliance
6. Franken - add Franken for 24/48 players. Haven't played this mode yet, so I'm not sure it would be a good idea though. Need to think on possible problems when scaling this draft

Also, for anyone not aware, the game has been underway for a while now. The reason this thread is still open and not having "launched" in its name is because it's a custom job. It's not started through the normal commands, and the channels were created and set aside long before the games get to that number.
