You can have 3 different bass hits every beat, but if you layer them with a mid bass or something else like that they go together

When I make layers its because one sound sounds emptier than the other

One sound might only have 3 layers

Another might have 8

For an example

If I have 3 basses at the start of the drop, each different, I'll layer them to make them sound more full first

What I do, is I take white noise from serum, print it, give it a donk shape, add a resonant peak, reverb, cut the highs and lows, print it again, add 2 total resonant peaks, one the same as last time, another an octave higher, then a de-esser, then a transient shaper, then another reverb, then a vocoder, then a disperser, then eq, then another resonant shaping, this time just re-doing the same peaks as before but on a smaller level, with one 2 octaves higher from the original but not that loud, a soundgoodizer, a compressor, and a final eq to shape it, then I print it out again so I can pitch it around and what not
