but when you apply that same rule to the background im doing

you end up having a 1 pixel brush to sharpen pointy edges on half the screen

also, tip for shadows. dont think about where the shadows are. think about where the light source is. cause if you know where the light is you dont need to think as to where the shadows are cause you will already know

Helloing goobers, I was cooking up some different ideas for the corruption on this guys face, each one is explained below for the thought process. Just want to know what you think is best and any opinions on them
A is meant to give a more flame feel, more minor detail on the corruption seeping around the eye and potentially into with some contrasting effects inside the eye that aren’t able to be shown here
B is the idea I’ve gone with for a while, just simple concept with it blinding one eye with maybe more verticality and color.
C is a broken crown idea, meant to go with a ‘false king’ feel, the crown is not that big and doesnt flow around the head, just the front.
D is almost identical to C, just with an open eye contrast feel as well.
