There’s a Stardew Valley mod that was abandoned in like 2021 and I want to update it to work with version 1.6 since the original creator stated they won’t be coming back to it for any reason. I need to know how to do this, if I even can

You need access to the source code in some way. There's two ways to do this that I know of. idk how stardew valley mods work. But you could decompile and try to work from there, good luck with that since it's a pain in the butt, the other much easier option, contact the modder.

They might have the code for the mod handy.

Another thing to be aware of if you get the code from the modder, figure out how they code.

Different people code in different ways. You might write your code different to how I do it. Sometimes it's something quick to learn, sometimes it makes you wanna cry.

The reason I say "Good luck with decompiling" that's a slow tedious process of figuring out what the code does because no decompiler will ever give you the code as the programmer wrote it. So you have to slowly effectively rewrite the variable and function names.

offensively it has a few holes.
The snorlax set has 3 stabs that all do essentially the same thing. The focus punch is an odd choice, but if you wanna role with that i wont stop you. The 50/50 aerodactyl is also an odd choice given its predominantly physical but hey if it works

For the cards with the same last two numbers, this is true, if the first number is higher, the GPU is better or at least just as good (Fuck you 50 series)
However for the lowest of the next generation and the highest of the previous generation, this is not true at all lmao
